Movie fluorescence technologyBelow you can see how adjuvants can have a great effect on the performance of a herbicide. In this example we used bentazone. By imaging the fluorescence level of the leaf tissue one can see how the polyglycerol based adjuvant is quite effective. This adjuvant promotes the foliar uptake of bentazone in way that there is an almost immediate effect after (spray) treatment of the plants. Similar tests can also be conducted with other herbicides.
More effect of the herbicide in the leaf tissue results in an increase of the fluorescense: the imaged fluorescence varies from green (healthy), to yelllow, to red and then to black (dead tissue).
